The number of Utahns who filed for bankruptcy fell 12 percent during the first half of this year.
U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Utah Clerk David Sime said the court received 7,596 bankruptcy petitions during the first six months of the year, down from the 8,647 filings submitted during the first half of 2012.
